SHARING THE SPIRIT OF TE TAI POUTINI WITH THE WORLD
In recognition of our positive impact on Te Tai Poutini/the West Coast, Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Waewae have gifted our distillery treasured pieces of their Pounamu to sit in a specially commissioned filter, which all water used to make Little Biddy Gin and Moonlight Creek Whisky, will touch.
With pristine West Coast water filtered over revered Pounamu, each drop of Reefton Distilling Co.’s premium spirits will now carry the wairua/spirit of this remarkable region.

Little Biddy Gin offers an authentic gin experience. Made with fresh, hand-foraged native botanicals sourced directly from the untamed natural wilderness of New Zealand’s West Coast rainforest. Each distinctive gin embodies the aroma and flavours of New Zealand’s West Coast, carrying the taste of New Zealand in every bottle.
Our Journey
We are a proud West Coast business, creating international award winning spirits from the abundant rainfall and lush native rainforest surrounding our distillery.
We were keen to create a business to help revitalise Reefton and explored many ideas, with the distillery the one that we kept coming back to. We wanted to create a business that Reefton would be proud of. The support of the Reefton community has played a huge part in our success.
Moonlight Creek Whisky
George Fairweather Moonlight was a legendary gold prospector and discovered New Zealand’s largest gold nugget, at the time, at Moonlight Creek. Like Moonlight, we don’t seek to follow the crowds.
